20160826_075719Sophie Williams is the latest new starter to join our operations team at head office, and is already enjoying the fast-paced nature of the role. Sophie, who was previously a project co-ordinator at Mold-based Solvings, has taken up the position of operations assistant at Jackson Fire & Security. She has hit the ground running and is already a key member of the team where she helps to arrange the engineers’ schedules, as well as re-directing them for call-outs. Sophie, who has also worked for Jackson Fire & Security’s client Moneypenny, is an army reservist and is currently training to be a vehicle mechanic. But she’s more than happy to stick to the ops team rather than fix our fleet of vehicles – for now.
“One of the things that attracted me to the role was the fast-paced nature and how you are constantly on your toes,”
said Sophie, from Wrexham.
“There’s a lot of reactive work to carry out because alarms go off and the site usually needs attending. This means I have to think on my feet and the last few weeks have been brilliant. “I love a challenge and learning new skills and working for the operations team at Jackson Fire & Security certainly ticks those boxes. “Over the coming weeks and months I’m excited to see how the job develops, as well as getting to know our customers who call in to speak to us. “I’ve settled into the team really well and I’m looking forward to progressing my career here.”
In her spare time Sophie is a volunteer with the army reservists and trains one weekend per month at Hightown Barracks, Kingsmill Road, Wrexham.
