Jackson Fire & Security’s managing director Steve Jackson narrowly missed out on winning a prestigious business award at the Institute of Directors (IoD) Wales annual awards ceremony. Steve was shortlisted for medium to large business director of the year, in which he came runner up to Peter Thomas of Contract Services Group. He was one of two Jackson Fire & Security directors to have been shortlisted for an IoD award this year. Tom Fletcher, managing director of our Cambridge branch, also finished runner up in his category: director of a small business for the East of England. The Wales awards ceremony, this year held in Cardiff, is an important date in the calendar for Welsh businesses as it recognises expert senior managers from a variety of sectors. Steve said:
“Although we didn’t win the award, it was fantastic to see Jackson Fire & Security amongst the best businesses in Wales. “To be shortlisted is a brilliant achievement for myself personally and all of our staff who have worked hard to develop the business. “Tom is doing an excellent job in Cambridge and his award shortlist reflects the work he and the team do in that region.”
Jackson Fire & Security employs 31 people across branches in Liverpool, Warrington, Wirral, Mold, Cambridge and Glasgow. Formed in 1991, the company has built a reputation for quality, reliability and service, and is a NSI and Siemens’ gold-accredited partner for fire and security systems.
