Jackson Fire and Security Wirral were appointed to supply and install fire extinguishers to one of the world’s leading consumer goods manufacturers in Port Sunlight. The site is home to the global innovation and development centres for their hair and laundry products and has over 750 scientists on site. Jackson Fire Wirral installed a number of 5kg Carbon Dioxide extinguishers throughout the site. This type of extinguisher is suitable for use on electrical fires or flammable liquids. Carbon dioxide extinguishers are harmless to electrical equipment and therefore ideal for offices and workshops.
A number of 9 Litre foam fire extinguishers were also installed at the site in Port Sunlight. These type of extinguishers are popular due to their ability to provide a fast and effective way of tackling fires involving flammable liquids. Foam fire extinguishers are also highly effective on Class A fires involving paper, textiles, wood etc. All Jackson Fire extinguishers are manufactured in line with the British Standard EN 3, are Kite Marked 585558 and CE Marked 0036. All Jackson extinguishers come with a 12 months manufacturer’s warranty.
