fire alarm upgrade
Jackson Fire & Security’s Manchester branch recently completed a full fire alarm upgrade at Thurnall House in Irlam, a building managed by North Cheshire Developments. The project involved a fire alarm upgrade to the required L3 fire alarm category meaning all escape routes should be installed with fire alarm detectors, ensuring early warning for all occupants of the building. The work included replacing the fire alarm panel to a new C-Tec AlarmSense system complete with smoke detectors, heat detectors, sounders and manual call points installed. Manchester branch director Salim Iqbal said, “It’s always a pleasure working with David McArthur and his team as we have a long-standing relationship with NC Developments. This site had its challenges as we were upgrading an old non-complaint system to a fully-compliant L3 category C-Tec conventional system.” “Our engineers worked diligently to ensure the premises had the necessary coverage whilst making sure there was minimal disruption to the tenant’s activities. We also went the extra mile by carrying out a complete re-wire rather than extending old cabling.” “We will continue to support North Cheshire Developments with routine servicing of fire alarm and fire extinguishers at the premises, as we understand the importance of health and safety especially in multi-tenanted buildings.” David McArthur from North Cheshire Developments said: “Salim and the team at Jackson Fire and Security are always available, willing and able to help us with our fire alarm systems, no matter the size or complexity of the job. We have enjoyed a near decade long relationship with Jackson Fire and Security and look forward to many years ahead.” Formed in 1991, Jackson Fire & Security has built a reputation for quality, reliability and service, and is NSI gold-accredited for fire and security systems.
