We would always recommend a free survey from one of our experienced team to determine the best fire extinguishers for your premises. The type and quantity of fire extinguishers required can depend on the use of the building and the different fire risks involved.
If you are responsible for a building, for example an employer, owner or occupier of a premises which isn’t classed as a private home, then yes you will need to make sure a fire risk assessment is completed and regularly reviewed every 12 months by a suitably competent person.
Your fire risk assessment should determine the category of fire alarm that is best suited for the fire safety needs of your premises. Our fire alarm designers can then carry out a free survey in line with your fire risk assessment and provide a quote for installation and maintenance services going forward in line with British Standards.
This is a crucial element to your fire safety strategy if you own sleeping accommodation or if your building is left unoccupied overnight and on weekends. In the event of a fire alarm activation, the alarm will immediately notify a monitoring station who will get in contact with your relevant keyholders. For high-risk buildings such as sleeping accommodation this will mean immediate fire brigade response.
