Jackson Fire & Security is now one of the few firms in its industry to train staff in-house, thanks to a new training facility.
Following the completion of construction work, we are now one step closer to being able to deliver NVQ qualifications to our technicians, keeping our services at the highest level of industry standards.
It’s not taken us long to put the £30,000 centre to use: the first Jackson Fire & Security employees to put it through its paces were Dean Renshaw and Jim Smith.
With a collective 22 years’ experience in the fire safety and security industry, Dean and Jim attended a training session on security systems.
As our business evolves and security becomes an increasingly sought-after service, it’s essential our engineers are fully equipped to deal with issues on site.
Jim, our longest-serving engineer having joined us in 2003, has more than 16 years as a fire and security expert. He works on fire and security projects for clients including Kingspan, UPM Shotton Paper, and Prestatyn Town Council.
Dean, who has been with us for three years, specialises in security services as well as fire safety. He looks after clients including the University of Chester, Meadow Foods, and Jones Environmental.
The training allowed the engineers to stay up to date with all the latest security systems, how to install them, and the regulations to follow when doing so.
Jackson Fire & Security’s quality, audit and training manager Stan Dancy said:
“We’re excited to have our state-of-the-art facility up and running to deliver valuable training to our employees. “Dean and Jim were able to fully understand how the latest security systems work, and can now go onto sites prepared to deal with any client issues. “From our North Wales headquarters we can now hold training sessions for our engineers ensuring they stay at the top of their game.”Jackson Fire & Security is one of the UK’s leading independent providers of fire and security systems.
