As part of the West Cheshire and North Wales Chamber of Commerce initiative Young Chamber, Jackson Fire & Security attended Christleton High School for a Careers Day conference on Friday 4th July, to speak to students about their current roles and their career pathways. Both Steve Jackson, managing director, and Rachel Evans, marketing manager, spoke at length to students about their journeys which have led to where they are in their careers today. Students were able to chose the sectors they were interested in to ensure they got the chance to listen to the most relevant speakers to the career paths they are considering. With around 120 Sixth Form students attending the event, Jackson Fire & Security representatives stayed for two sessions to ensure as many students as possible got the chance to speak with them. Rachel Evans, Marketing Manager at Jackson Fire and Security who spoke to the students said, “It was a great morning at Christleton High School for Careers Day, not only were students engaged asking all the right questions, but it was great to catch up with other Young Chamber sponsors and learn more about their experiences and backgrounds. “We have to praise Christleton High on their pro-active approach to careers for their students. Its not unusual for students to be unsure of which path to take at this stage, but they are doing all they can to open up different career options and demonstrate the amount of opportunities out there for them to grasp.” “The event was a great success and worthwhile for both students and supporting businesses.” Young Chamber is a new initiative from the West Cheshire and North Wales Chamber of Commerce for schools and colleges.
