Ryan Storey is the latest new starter to join our engineering team in Yorkshire, and is already enjoying the fast-paced nature of the role. Ryan, aged 24 from Pontefract, has taken up a position as fire and security engineer at our Leeds branch. He has previously spent time with an electrical engineering company standing him in good stead to progress into the fire and security industry. He has already hit the ground running and has spent time shadowing our team of engineers in Yorkshire and the North East. Ryan has already successfully installed his first Dualcom device which is used to monitor the customer’s fire alarm and send remote signalling to an alarm monitoring station. Ryan said: “I’m enjoying my time at Jackson Fire & Security so far and I have been impressed with the level of support and encouragement I have received from colleagues and management. “I like the variety of the job as we could be visiting a wide range of different clients and working on a whole host of different fire and security systems so there is always the opportunity to tackle something new.” Kris Milner, Leeds branch director, said: “Ryan initially impressed me with his work ethic and positive approach to learning new things. “Employing Ryan has been a very good move for our branch as he picks things up very quickly and has already tackled some complex fire and security installations. “We look forward to seeing how Ryan develops further in the fire and security industry with our training and support.” Jackson Fire & Security employs 43 people across its branches in the North Wales, North West England, the Midlands, Yorkshire, Teesside, Cambridgeshire and Surrey. Formed in 1991, the company has built a reputation for quality, reliability and service and is NSI gold-accredited for fire and security systems.
