Guests gathered on Friday 17th November at Jackson Fire & Security HQ to attend our 2017 technology and networking event. Greeted with a buffet lunch guests were able to network with others in a relaxed and informal environment. Presentations got underway with Jackson Fire & Security giving a brief company overview and demonstrating solutions in sectors such as education and heritage buildings. Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service then talked to delegates about ensuring they have taken every step to ensure their business is protected from fire and how they can seek further advice. North Wales Fire & Rescue Service were also in attendance so delegates could get advice from the local service in which their business operates. The fire safety presentations were topped off with Hochiki Europe advising on new regulations for emergency lighting and fire alarm systems. During the break there was a further chance to network before the focus turned to protecting businesses from security risks. Eaton Security presented new trends with intruder technology and remote monitoring of your alarm from anywhere in the world using a smartphone or tablet. BOSCH closed the presentations with new trends in CCTV going beyond surveillance such as monitoring footfall in shopping centres to flagging health and safety risks in manufacturing and warehousing environments. Marketing manager Rachel Evans said: “Our industry presentations proved very popular with everyone in attendance and all our guests made the most of the unique opportunity to seek free fire safety and security advice.” “It was great to network and pass on our expertise from an otherwise hidden fire and security industry. We would like to thank everyone who attended and we hope every person took some advice away in order to improve fire safety and security at their business premises.” Founded in 1991, Jackson Fire & Security employs 40 people across branches in North Wales, North West England, Yorkshire, Teesside, Staffordshire, Cambridgeshire and Surrey.
