fire extinguisher servicing mold
Managing a day nursery for up to 95 children keeps staff busy enough without having to check that a small but important aspect of running a building runs smoothly. That’s why Buttercups Day Nursery of Mold has retained Jackson Fire & Security to maintain its fire extinguishers and emergency lighting, and conduct PAT testing, since the day it opened – more than 12 years ago. Located on Bryn Coch Uchaf, Buttercups admits children from the age of four months until they are eligible for full time education. Most of its young customers live within a five-mile radius. Our engineers conduct annual PAT testing on around 70 electrical appliances, as well as servicing and maintaining the nursery’s eight extinguishers. Gavin McCarthy who owns the business with his wife, Diane, said:
"They have always been efficient and proactive. They keep everything up to date and were able to change the extinguishers to a different model that was easier for staff to handle. “We picked Jackson’s in the first place because it was local and had been recommended to us. We kept them over the years because they keep delivering an excellent service.” “It’s important to us to support and use a local supplier where possible, as Buttercups itself relies on local people for its business.”
Our managing director, Steve Jackson said:
“While we also nowadays can take on bigger contracts for factories and public buildings, our customer base of small and independent businesses also continues to grow. “Every customer is important, no matter how big or small.”
Our customers include independent shops and pubs, as well as factories and council buildings. Unlike some other firms, we endeavour to complete all elements of a contract – such as annual servicing of fire extinguishers and emergency lighting testing, in a single visit. This minimises interruptions and costs, as we only charge the customer for a single visit.
